Checking your computer's network interface speed
As a part of troubleshooting a UFB speed issue, you can review if your PC or Mac supports a gigabit network interface by following the below steps.
Windows:
1. | From the taskbar, open Networking and Sharing Center. |
2. | Click on the blue text next to 'Connections:' |
3. | Review the speed on the PC. If the Speed is any value less than 1.0 Gbps → Click 'Properties' |
4. | Click 'Configure' |
5. | Click 'Advanced' and under the "Property" field select 'Speed & Duplex' Value should be one of the following options:
If '1.0 Gbps Full Duplex' is not an available option under Value then this computer's network interface does not support Gigabit. Arrange to perform the test from another computer with a gigabit network interface. |
Mac:
1. | Open System Preferences |
2. | Select Network |
3. | Select the relevant Connected Ethernet adapter and click Advanced |
4. | Select the Hardware Tab and review the entry in the Speed field:
