Windows 11
- Open Outlook:
- Launch the Outlook application on your computer.
- Add a New Account:
- Click on the Settings menu in the top right corner.
- Select Add Account.
- Select Add Account.
- Enter Your Email Address:
- In the new window, enter your email address provided you created.
- Click Connect.
- Choose Account Type:
- Scroll down and select IMAP as the account type if prompted
- Make sure the account type is IMAP, Click Select Provider if it’s not
- Enter your email password
- Select the toggle next to ‘Show more’
- Enter IMAP Account Settings:
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.1stdomains.co.nz
- Port: 993
- Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.1stdomains.co.nz
- Port: 465 or 587
- Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
- Click Continue
- Give Microsoft permission to sync your account:
- Click Continue.
- You’re done!:
- Click on Done or Add another account if you have another one to add.
- Check Your Inbox:
- Your IMAP email account should now be set up and ready to use. Check your inbox to ensure emails are syncing correctly. Note that if you have a lot of emails they may take some time to download depending on the speed of your internet connection and your computer.
If you encounter any issues, you might need to double-check the server settings, your email password or contact 1st Domains support for further assistance.

Note: You may wish to ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi especially if you have a lot of emails, since downloading a large number of emails could use a lot of mobile data.
Note: You may also need to have previously signed into outlook with a Microsoft account with a subscription enabling you to use outlook, in order to use the outlook app. For more assistance on this check with Microsoft.
- Add a New Email Account
- Open the Outlook app.
- Tap on the profile icon or the menu icon in the top left corner.
- Tap on the gear icon (Settings) at the bottom left.
- Select “Accounts”
- Select “Add Account.”
- Select "Email Account”
- Enter Your Email Address
- If outlook has found another account that isn’t the one you’d like to add, select “Skip”
- Type in your 1st Domains email address
- Tap “Add Account.”
- Choose IMAP Account
- If prompted to choose an account type, select “IMAP.”
- Enter Incoming Mail Server Settings
- Server: mail.1stdomains.co.nz
- Port: 993
- Encryption Method: SSL/TLS
- Username: Your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.co.nz)
- Password: Your email account password
- Enter Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) Settings
- Server: mail.1stdomains.co.nz
- Port: 465(Android) or 587(iOS)
- Encryption Method: SSL/TTLS
- Username: Your full email address (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.co.nz)
- Password: Your email account password
- Complete the Setup
- Tap “Sign In” to complete the setup.
- Outlook will verify the settings and, if everything is correct, your email account will be added.
- Sync Your Email
- Once the account is added, Outlook will start syncing your emails.
- You can now access your 1st Domains email account from the Outlook app on your iOS device.
- Note that if you have a lot of emails, they may take some time to download depending on the speed of your Wi-Fi or Mobile data connection.
